Special Features

The McCain Creek Preserve features close to two miles of linear creek frontage of McCain Creek and provides capacity to retain and absorb floodwaters in the Lake Somerville watershed. The property has a large double-stemmed live oak and close to 100 different flower species. Trees include post oak, black hickory, and eastern red cedar as well as mesquite, post oak and cedar elm.
