Special Features

This Montgomery-County owned property is so-named because of special mussels (Little Spectacle cases, Villosa lienosa) found next to the 4.3 acre pond located in the center of the property during the baseline inventory. The Preserve is home to 36 native tree species including honeylocust and southern catalpa and is very close to a City of Conroe park.
