Special FeaturesThe easement area is riparian land along Cypress Creek with current agricultural use (rice production). It is located within the Katy Prairie which is an important migratory stop-over and wintering area for migratory waterfowl, shorebirds and neotropical songbirds. Water remains at least in pools in depressional wetlands on the tract during dry periods, providing important year-round water supply for wildlife. |
