Special Features

The Peckinpaugh Preserve is an important addition to the Spring Creek Greenway Project. Donated to Montgomery in two pieces: 10 from a private citizen and 15 from Houston Audubon, the tract will be open to the public in the summer of 2006 for low-impact access. The preserve is a unique, diverse ecological area with 45 different native tree species, and provides habitat for a rare amphibian.
