Welcome
Legacy Land Trust is a non-profit land preservation organization dedicated to protecting natural areas in the Houston region.
We work to protect stream and river corridors, properties with significant habitat values and provide wildlife with a home-preserves
where they can be undisturbed by traffic, lights and noise. We do this by working with willing landowners who agree
to permanently protect their lands from future development and by educating the public. As of 2008, we are proud to announce that we have preserved close to 6,000 acres of land in the surrounding Houston area.
In The News
Join us for our 6th annual official Butterfly Count at the Montgomery County Preserve located in Spring, TX on Saturday morning, May 31st 2008. This is a great chance for children and adults to learn about the various butterflies of the Houston region and what you can grow in your own yard to attract them.
For information about start time and other details of this event, please join us as a member online by clicking on the Network for Good logo or by downloading and mailing our Membership
